Pay Off the Debt Update
As of January 24, 2009 there has been over $54,650.00 given toward paying down the debt. Praise the Lord. We are still looking for others who would be willing to partner with The Springs in their endeavor to Pay Off the Debt. If you are interested please read on then fill out the form below.
Pay Off The Debt Campaign Commitments

Dear Springs Camp Visitor;
As you are aware, the debt that The Springs has been carrying is staggering. Every year we pay more than $100,000 in interest only. God has blessed the camp so that we have been able to meet our commitments the last few years. However, God has impressed on my heart that it is time to pay down that debt.
It has been just three years since I took over as the Director here. When I came the first priority was to pay our bills and fill our beds. We have seen God do that in amazing ways.
This next year we will have over 75 different groups use our facility. Each group whether secular or Christian hears the mission of the camp: “The Springs impacts lives by creating experiences that develop and deepen personal relationships with Jesus Christ.” We have seen many come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and draw closer to Him, during these three years.
We want to see God do more.
Many things are hindered by this debt. Let me list a few.
The ability to hire enough staff and care for that staff with the expanding ministry.
The ability to keep our prices where our guests can afford to come use the facilities.
The ability to provide amazing fresh new programming for our summer campers.
The ability to expand the facilities with the demand for the service we provide here.
However, we are convinced our God is the God of the supernatural. No, I don’t mean mystical, spooky stuff, I mean “things” that when they happen can only be explained as the direct work of Him. Therefore, let me introduce you to an exciting new endeavor.
We are setting out to pay off the $1.3 million dollar debt by the end of 2009. WOW! Is that even possible? It is possible with the support of all our friends and prayer warriors. Let me tell you how and then ask for your help.
We are asking God to place on the heart of people to adopt 3500 shares. A share is a commitment of giving one dollar a day for one year. If God will lead people to give in this way we will raise $1,277,500 in one year. With the addition of our monthly payment we could pay this debt off and celebrate in the glory of God. How exciting would that be!!!

We need everyone to be a part of this amazing event. It is being introduced to every group that comes to the camp. We are telling our campers about it as well as our retreat groups. There are youth groups who are taking on a share or two, Sunday school classes, as well as individuals.
Maybe it will take you two years to complete your commitment. It may take a step of faith to commit to adopting a share. Maybe you will be able to adopt more than one share. However God will lead you, we ask that you please consider this one year commitment to help Pay off the Debt.
